Participants in the video above committed to eating a spoonful of wasabi, and then found sponsorship for their individual spoons. Funds they raised were donated to the nonprofit organization, Darius Goes West.

The money is being used to raise awareness and fund promising research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research, the #1 genetic killer of children in the world. You can see how much they raised (and still donate!) in the thermometer below.
